HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J The case has been taken up by way of Video Conference as per instructions in view of COVID-19 pandemic.

The petitioner married respondent No.4-Rajesh in 2001. Since respondent No.4 used to harass and beat her because of his bad attitude, the petitioner left her matrimonial home in 2019 and since then she is living with one Vikram Singh son of Kala Ram for last more than six months. Grievance raised in this petition is that respondent Nos.5 to 7 (brother and parents of the petitioner), who are opposed to the decision of her not living with respondent No.4, are threatening to kill the petitioner. Learned counsel states that the petitioner has submitted a representation (P.2) addressed to respondent No.2 in this regard but no action has been taken thereon so far.

Without in any way commenting upon the merits of the case or opining on the veracity of the allegations contained in the representation, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into the said representation and take appropriate action expeditiously as may be warranted in law.
