The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. with a prayer to issue appropriate directions to respondents No.3 and 4 not to unnecessarily harass the petitioner on account of false and frivolous complaints filed by respondent No.5.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the respondent No.5, who is a retired Sub Inspector, has made several false and frivolous complaints to various authorities against the present petitioner. He further contends that now in pursuance of the complaints made by respondent No.5, Vigilance Department is asking the petitioner to appear and to join the inquiry proceedings in an illegal manner. He further contends that the Vigilance Department has no authority to conduct inquiry against the respondents and it which is not permissible in law.

On advance notice, Mr.I.P.S.Sabharwal, DAG, Punjab has appeared on behalf of the respondent- State and on instructions from Inspector Rajwinder Kaur, he has submitted that as on today, no inquiry is being conducted by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau, Jalandhar Raman Kumar 2024.04.18 10:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CRM-M-18024-2024 2024:PHHC:050682 against the present petitioner and he shall not be summoned in any inquiry by the said police official.

In view of the statement made by the learned State Counsel, no further orders are required to be passed in the present case and accordingly, the present petition is disposed of.
