MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) Due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, the case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing.
The present petition under Section Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to deposit the interest at the rate of 18% per annum on the delayed payment of petitioners' contributions/employer's contribution to the Provident Fund and Pension Contribution Fund and interest on delayed payments of Dearness Allowances instalments, with the competent authorities. Learned counsel for the petitioner at the outset submits that a direction be issued to the respondent for taking a decision on the Legal Notice (Annexure P-11) submitted by the petitioners.
