Petitioner-Firm through one of its partner has approached this Court by way of filing the present petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing of impugned auction notice dated 16.06.2020 (Annexure P-4) issued by the Department of Fishery, Punjab.

behalf of the respondents. An advance copy of this petition was supplied to learned counsel for the respondents. Learned State counsel has brought to the notice of this Court that one of the partners of the petitioner-Firm has participated in the auction proceedings which has taken place on 26.06.2020 and remained successful being the highest bidder, therefore, the present petition is not maintainable. Heard arguments of learned counsel for the parties as well as perused the documents available on the file. Admittedly, the auction has already taken place on 26.06.2020 and the highest bidder who was one of the partners of the petitioner-firm has been allotted the assignment on deposit of requisite fee. Accordingly, we do not find any justification to interfer in the matter and the present petition being devoid of any merit is dismissed.
(DAYA CHAUDHARY) JUDGE (MEENAKSHI I. MEHTA) JUDGE 29.06.2020.
