(ORAL) Prayer in this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., is for issuance of a direction to the official respondents to look into the matter and take appropriate legal action against the accused persons in case FIR No. 52 dated 29.03.2022 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 380, 420, 494 and 120-B IPC and to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners as well as their family members, at the hands of accused. Status report dated 27.09.2022, filed by way of affidavit of Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ajnala, Amritsar (Rural) on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 5, is taken on record. Para 12 of the aforesaid status report reads as under: "12. That it is respectfully submitted that keeping in view the totality of the facts and submissions made hereinabove, it transpires that the investigation of the aforesaid case/FIR RISHU KATARIA 2022.09.29 17:18 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-19124-2022 -2No. 52 dated 29.03.2022, under Section 380, 120B IPC (added Section 494 IPC), Police Station Ajnala, Amritsar Rural has been carried out in a fair and impartial manner, during which four accused Balwant Singh, Baljit Singh, Amandeep Kaur and Mandeep Singh, were arrested and produced before the jurisdictional Ld. Court and were sent to judicial custody. Whereas, remaining three accused Harpal Singh, Baldev Singh and Paramjit Kaur, who were granted relief of anticipatory bail by the Court of Ld. Additional Sessions Judge, Amritsar, were joined the investigation. The final investigation report of this case has been presented before the jurisdictional Ltd. Court, which is now pending for trial.

The petitioners do not have any kind of threat to their lives and liberty at the hands of private respondents and the respondent No. 6 has not cause any kind of interference in investigation of the aforesaid case. Therefore, the present petition is liable to be dismissed." In view of the averments made in para 12 of the status report, no further action is required. The instant petition stands disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
