REKHA MITTAL J. (Oral) The present petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.16 dated 22.02.2009 registered at Police Station Qadian, District Batala for offence punishable under Sections 498-A and 406 read with Section 34 IPC.

Counsel for the State has apprised the Court that 10 witnesses have already been examined by the prosecution and only 02 witnesses remain to be examined in the case.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioners to say something in the matter.

In view of the statement made by counsel for the State, I do not find any reason to interfere in exercise of jurisdiction under Section 482 Cr.P.C.

Dismissed.
