JUSTICE MAHAVIR SINGH SINDHU Present: Mr. Jasbir Mor, Advocate for the petitioner. ****** Present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to allot District Sonipat permanently to the petitioner as the candidates lower in merit to him have been allotted/re-allotted Sonipat by ignoring his claim or in the alternative to consider and decide the representation dated 19.06.2020 (P14) and transfer him in District Sonipat. At the outset, instead of pressing the petition on merits, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be satisfied in case the representation dated 19.06.2020 (P-14) is decided by the competent authority on some early date.

Prayer seems to be justified.

Ms. Shurti Jain, DAG, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Learned State counsel is not averse for the innocuous prayer made by the petitioner.

In view of the agreed stand taken by both sides, but without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the present petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide representation dated 19.06.2020 (P-14), if the same is pending, in accordance with law, expeditiously, but not later than four weeks from today. Ordered accordingly.
