AT CHANDIGARH CWP No.8890 of 2020 Date of Order: 01.07.2020.

Naveen and others.

Versus

State of Haryana and another.

...Respondents

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MAHAVIR SINGH SINDHU Present: Mr. Tejpal Singh Dhull, Advocate for the petitioners. -.- Present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to allot the petitioners permanent place of posting for the post of PRT Teacher according to the options taken by the respondents as the candidate who are lower in merit to them have been allotted the districts of their choice by ignoring the claims of the petitioners. At the outset, instead of pressing the petition on merits, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he would be satisfied in case the representation dated 03.03.2020 (P-5) is decided by the competent authority on some early date.

Prayer seems to be justified.

Notice of motion.

Ms. Shurti Jain, DAG, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Learned State counsel is not averse for the innocuous prayer made by the petitioners.

In view of the agreed stand taken by both sides, but without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the present petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide representation dated 03.03.2020 (P-5), if the same is pending, in accordance with law, expeditiously, but not later than four weeks from today. Ordered accordingly.
