Dharam Pal Singh v. Mohi Pal Singh
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH RSA No. 804 of 1998 (O&M) DATE OF DECISION :- 04.11.2025 Dharam Pal Singh and others ...Appellants
Versus
Mahi Pal Singh and others
...Respondents
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIRINDER AGGARWAL Present:- None for the appellants.
*** VIRINDER AGGARWAL , J. (Oral) 1.
The appeal pertains to the year 1998 and is a very old matter. No one has appeared on behalf of the appellants. Notice was issued to the appellants. Appellants No. 1, 3, 4, 6 and 11 have died whereas appellants No. 2, 5, 7 to 10 have been served through family members but none has come present on behalf of appellants. It seems that appellants are not interested in pursuing the instant appeal.
2.
In view of the above and given the prevailing circumstances, there seems to be no justification to keep the appeal on the docket, indefinitely. Accordingly, the instant appeal stands dismissed for want of prosecution with liberty to the appellants to revive the same, if have any grievance from this order, within a period of three months from today.
3.
Since the main appeal stands decided, the miscellaneous application(s), if any, stand disposed of accordingly.
