Mr. Mohinder Kumar, Advocate for the petitioner.

MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is one of the witnesses cited by the prosecution. He is being continuously harassed and threatened by the accused not to support the case of the prosecution. Learned counsel submits that in the said regard, a complaint dated 07.10.2024 (Annexure P-3) had also been sent to respondent No.8-State Transport Commissioner, Punjab, with a copy thereof to respondents No.2 and 3-Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab and Senior Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau, Range Ludhiana, respectively, however, till date no action had been taken on the same.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if appropriate directions can be issued to respondents No.2 and 3 to look into the complaint made to respondent No.8 and take appropriate steps in accordance with law at the earliest.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. H.S. Deol, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State. 5.

In view of the prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of with directions to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau, Range Ludhiana, to look into the complaint dated 07.10.2024 (Annexure P-3) of the petitioner and take appropriate steps, if required, in accordance with law.
