(Oral) Short reply by way of affidavit of Rajesh Kakkar, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Sri Hargobindpur, Police District Batala filed in the Court today. The same be taken on record. A copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition.

Permission is granted. The present petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

In case the petitioner surrenders before the concerned competent Court within a period of 03 days from today, the bail application (if any) filed by the said petitioner shall be dealt with expeditiously. However, this direction shall not be construed as curtailing the discretion of the concerned Court in granting remand of the petitioner.
