**** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Present petition is for release of petitioner on regular bail in FIR No.138 dated 06.08.2015, under Sections 376, 341, 354, 509, 506 and 323 IPC, registered at Police Station City Kotkapura, District Faridkot. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody since 08.08.2015 and the prosecutrix in the present case was a major and married lady. As per contents of the FIR, she had compromised the matter in panchayat with the petitioner. It has been further alleged that even thereafter the petitioner has started harassing and exploiting her. Learned State counsel, on instructions from investigating officer, has informed that in the trial the father of the prosecutrix has made an application for getting her statement through video conferencing and the Naresh Kumar 2016.09.22 10:09 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh same is pending consideration for 06.10.2016.

CRM-M-3402-2016 -2I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and with their able assistance gone through the material available on record. The petitioner was arrested on 08.08.2015. Since then, he is in judicial custody and no useful purpose would be served to further detain him in jail. The final conclusion of trial will take a long time. In view of above facts, the present petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on regular bail on his furnishing adequate bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of learned trial Judge/Duty Magistrate, Faridkot.

Needless to mention that, nothing observed here-in-above, would reflect, on merits in the trial of the main case, in any manner.
