Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant initial pay of Rs.18030/- to the petitioners, who were appointed as Accounts Officer in PSPCL, from the date of joining as the said benefit has already been granted to Assistant Engineers from the date of their appointment vide Circular No.06 of 2023 dated 27.03.2023 (Annexure P-1). 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, at the very outset, confines his prayer for deciding representation dated 21.04.2022 (Annexure P-18). He submits that at this stage, petitioners would be satisfied, if the said representation is decided by passing a speaking order within a time bound frame. He further submits that the petitioners shall supplement the said representation by submitting detailed representation within a period of 02 weeks.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Keeping in view the limited prayer addressed at the time of arguments, facts and circumstances of the case but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the controversy, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority - respondent No.1 to expeditiously decide representation dated 21.04.2022 (Annexure P-18) and the supplementary representation, submitted by the petitioners by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of supplementary representation.
