H. S. Madaan, J. (Oral) At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he does not press the present petition for regular bail, however a direction be issued to the trial Court to complete the trial expeditiously.

A perusal of the record goes not show that challan was filed in the Court on 17.12.2019 and charge was framed on 10.1.2020. As informed by the State counsel, on instructions from ASI Lakhwinder Singh, PS Ladhuka, Fazilka, out of 11 prosecution witnesses cited by the prosecution, only one prosecution witness has been examined so far.

CRM-M-21140 of 2021 -2It is matter of concern, that the trial is moving at a such a slow pace in the Court of Special Judge, Fazilka, stated to be Ms. Gurdarshan Kaur Dhaliwal.

Accordingly, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months, by giving short adjournments. The State shall cause appearance of the prosecution witnesses in the Court on the date, so fixed. If the trial is not completed within a period of six months, then Special Judge, Fazilka, shall render necessary explanation for not doing so, which is to be forwarded to this court alongwith comments by the District and Sessions Judge, Fazilka.

The present petition is dismissed as withdrawn. A copy of the order be sent to the Court concerned, through District and Sessions Judge, Fazilka, for information and necessary action.
