This Appeal arises out of an order dated 19.02.2026 passed by the learned Single Bench, whereby the claim of the appellant for relaxation in maximum age for applying for the post has been declined. 2.

Learned Single Bench has noticed that in terms of the concerned Rules and the advertisement, the maximum age is 42 years whereas age of the appellant is above 43 years. 3.

Learned counsel for the appellant submits that because the appellant had already got himself registered in the Employment Exchange, as such, he is entitled to age relaxation.

Learned Single Bench has clearly observed that no such provision is shown under which such age relaxation is contemplated. Moreover, it is also observed by the learned Single Bench that in fact the appellant never applied for age relaxation in terms of the advertisement. 5.

No provision of law is shown to exist either under the concerned Rules or under the advertisement which permits age relaxation only because of person having got himself/herself registered in the Employment Exchange. Instructions (Annexure P-3) have been relied upon which relate to some circulars of year 1981-82. These circulars will have no applicability unless it is shown to be made applicable either under the concerned Rules or under the advertisement.

In such view of the matter, the appeal fails and is dismissed accordingly.

All pending applications, if any, in this case are dismissed of accordingly.
