Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar to look into the grievance as put forth by learned counsel for the petitioner, assess the threat to life and liberty of petitioner and take appropriate action in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to the petitioner from legal action taken in any civil, criminal or other proceedings initiated/pending against him in accordance with law.
