The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of a mandamus hence directing respondents No. 2 & 3 to give protection to the life and liberty of the petitioners, and against any interference in the peaceful life of the petitioners being made at the behest of respondents No. 4 to 6. 2.

The learned counsel for respondents No. 4 & 5 has placed, in Court today, the vakalatnama, executed in his favour by them, which is taken on record.

Status report, by way of affidavit, sworn on 06.07.2022, of Sh. Satvinder Singh Virk, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, City, Ferozepur, on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3, filed in Court today, is taken on record. A copy of the same be furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioners.

Consequently, this Court directs the respondents concerned, to within three weeks hereafter, hence decide Annexure P-2, through a speaking order.
