******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 439 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 14 dated 04.02.2015 registered for the offence punishable under Section 302 read with Section 34 of Indian Penal Code (for short, "IPC") and 66 of Information Technology Act, at Police Station Barnala, District Barnala. Heard.
Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner was arrested on 10.02.2015 and the trial has not concluded so far. The petitioner is facing trial for murder of Anoop Kumar, whose half burnt body was found in fields.
As per submissions made by learned State counsel on 14.02.2017, only official witnesses are left to be examined in this case. Keeping in view the gravity of offence, the instant petition is dismissed with direction to trial Court to expedite the trial and dispose of the same at the earliest and preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
