Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, the case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing.
The instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents No. 4 and 5.
In compliance of the last order dated 02.07.2020, learned counsel for the State, on instructions from SI Baldev Raj, submits that the statements of the private respondents have been recorded and as per their statement they have no objection to the marriage of the petitioners and hence no threat to the life and liberty of the petitioners exists.
Learned counsel for the petitioners states that in view of the above, this petition has been rendered infructuous. Disposed of as such.
