(Oral) The matter has been taken up through video-conferencing in the light of the pandemic COVID-19 situation and as per instructions. This criminal writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to release the petitioner on parole for 15 days, enabling him to attend, organize and perform the Bhat ceremony of his paternal aunt"s (Bhua's) daughter namely Manbir Kaur, which is going to be solemnized on 28.05.2021.
