**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuance of direction to respondents No.1 and 2 to get FIR No.161 dated 14.07.2017, under Section 61, 1, 14 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, at Police Station Sadar, Jalandhar, District Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar, investigated from some independent agency.

At the outset, learned State counsel submits a report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. was prepared and presented before the Court concerned way back on 14.07.2018 and that, thereafter, the charges were framed and the prosecution evidence is to commence. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner does not dispute the aforesaid fact.

Since post presentation of the challan, the charges were AMAN JAIN 2023.09.05 16:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
