As common issues are involved in the captioned petitions, with the consent of both sides, the same are hereby disposed of by this common order. For the sake of brevity and convenience, facts are borrowed from CWP-14942-2005.

The petitioners through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondent to frame seniority of Executive Clerical Cadre of Amritsar Range as per Rule 1.1 of Punjab Police Rules, 1934 and fix their seniority in Executive DEEPAK BISSYAN 2025.09.10 16:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

The petitioners were removed from Executive Clerical Cadre being excess. In view of judgment dated 24.01.2003 passed by this Court in CWP-10533-1999, petitioners were brought back into Executive Clerical Cadre from the date they were removed. The petitioners till the date of filing petitions were working as extra hands in Executive Clerical Cadre with retrospective date.

The petitioners were enrolled during 1985 to 1992. There are all probabilities that they have retired on attaining the age of superannuation. Their appointment was protected by this Court. 5.
Disposed of with liberty to petitioner to move an appropriate application, if cause survives.
