M.M.S. BEDI, J. (ORAL) The petitioners are related to Pawan Dhir who is involved in a case under Section 376 IPC lodged at the instance of respondent No.9. The petitioners claim that they are being harassed by the prosecutrix-respondent No.9 with the aid of other private respondents to part substantial amount to get benefit in the trial under Section 376 IPC.

As per reply filed by the ACP (North), Ludhiana, it has been submitted that a criminal case under Section 376 IPC has

CRM-M-33402-2014 (O&M) been registered against Pawan Dhir son of petitioner No.1. The allegations levelled by the petitioners have been looked into and it has been found that no occurrence had taken place on 17.9.2014 as alleged by the petitioners. One of the reasons given is that CCTV Cameras are affixed in the premises of the petitioners but no CCTV footage is available. From the reply it appears that there is no imminent threat to the petitioners.

So far as the defence of the petitioners that they have been falsely involved in the case is concerned, the same would be appreciated by the trial Court at opportune time. Nothing said in this order will prejudice the rights of the petitioners or Pawan Dhir in the criminal case pending against the son of petitioner No.1 Pawan Dhir.

Disposed of accordingly.
