Prayer made in the present petition for stepping up the pay of the petitioners at par with the junior i.e. Rs.19,010/- w.e.f. 10.03.2012 in view of Notification dated 22.08.2019 issued by the Government of Punjab, Department of Finance, directing removal of anomaly in pay which accrued due to grant of ACP benefit at the time of revision of pay in the year 2011. 2.

The persons similarly circumstanced had approached this Court for the same benefit wherein direction was issued to pass the speaking order and on 22.08.2022 (Annexure P8) have been held entitled for stepping up, thus, the petitioners have also served a legal notice dated 14.01.20205 (Annexure P9) has been served upon respondents, which has yet not evoked any response. He thus, at this stage, on instructions, prays that a direction be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 14.01.2025, within a period of 6 months, HAMANT 2025.03.26 17:26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-8529-2025 taking note of the order dated 22.08.2022 (Annexure P8), which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
