CHANDIGARH (216) RSA-4082-1999(O&M) Date of Decision:-24.02.2026 Naresh Kumar and Others ......Appellants

Versus

Jaswant Lal and Others ......Respondents

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL ****

Present:

None.

**** AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL, J. (Oral) 1.

As per the report of the Registry, notices issued to the appellants have been received back with the endorsement that the house has been sold. Despite sufficient opportunities, no steps have been taken by the appellants to pursue the present appeal. The appellants remained unrepresented on the last three consecutive dates of hearing, i.e., 22.01.2026, 15.09.2025 and 14.01.2025, and even today, no one has appeared on their behalf.

2.

In these circumstances, it is evident that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the present appeal pending on the docket for an indefinite period.

3.

It thus appears that the appellants are not interested in pursuing the present appeal.

Accordingly, the present appeal is dismissed in default for want of prosecution.

5.

However, liberty is granted to the appellants to seek revival/restoration of the appeal in accordance with law, in case any worthwhile cause survives for adjudication.

6.

Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of. (AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL) JUDGE 24.02.2026 Shubham Whether speaking/reasoned:- Yes/No Whether Reportable:- Yes/No -2SHUBHAM 2026.02.26 11:02 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/order
