NARESH KUMAR SANGHI, J. (Oral) No one has put in appearance for the petitioner. Same was the position on the last date of hearing, i.e. 14.1.2015. With the assistance of learned counsel for the State and learned counsel for respondent Nos. 4 and 8, I have perused the material available on record.

Prayer in this petition is for issuing directions to the official respondents for the safety of life and liberty of the petitioner and to protect him (petitioner) from harassment being meted out by respondent Nos. 4 to 10.

CRM-M-37237-2012 (O&M) Bagga Singh of Police Station, Sadar, Malout, District Sri Muktsar Sahib, submits that seven persons were nominated as accused for having committed the offences punishable under Section 307, IPC, etc. Out of seven, five nominated persons/accused were arrested, but they were granted bail by the Court of competent jurisdiction. He further submits that respondent Nos. 4 and 8, namely, Jagga Singh and Amba Singh, respectively, could not be arrested and, as such, at the request of the investigating agency, proceedings for declaring them as proclaimed offenders have been initiated by the learned Court below. He further contends that the local police shall make every endeavour so that the life and liberty of the petitioner is not infringed.

In view of above, no further orders are required to be passed in the present case.

Disposed of accordingly.
