Prayer in the present petition filed is under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of the FIR No. 95 dated 01.07.2016 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 419/420 IPC, 1860 at Police Station Dayalpura, District Bathinda and all subsequent proceedings. 2.

Today, Mr. Deepak Aggarwal, learned counsel for the petitioner has referred to the reply filed by way of affidavit of Shri Bhupinderjeet Singh Virk, PPS Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda dated 20.08.2021 wherein it has been specifically submitted that cancellation report has been prepared and the same is pending for approval before the competent authority. Therefore, nothing survives in the instant petition. He prays for dismissal of the same.

Though, on a query put to the State counsel, he assures the Court that needful would be done and cancellation report will be presented to the court within a period of two weeks.

In view of the above, present petition is disposed of. In case, the aforesaid assurance given by the State counsel is not adhered to, the petitioner will be at liberty to move an application for revival of the present petition.
