(ORAL) Prayer in this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for quashing of FIR No. 272 dated 17.12.2016 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 363, 366-A, 354 and 342 read with Section 34 IPC (Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 was added later on) at Police Station City Ferozepur, District Ferozepur and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise deed dated 05.04.2019 (Annexure P-2) effected between the parties.

The matter pertains to the year 2019. Perusal of the order sheets shows that notice of motion was issued in the present case on 11.04.2019. Thereafter, the case was listed for hearing for 08 times, out of which on 03 dates i.e. 14.08.2019, 10.11.2022 and 13.04.2023, no one had appeared on behalf of the petitioner; and on 03 dates i.e. 14.07.2022, RISHU KATARIA 2024.03.13 19:33 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment.

CRM-M-16749-2019 -22024:PHHC:035391 30.05.2023 and 20.09.2023, the case was adjourned at the request of learned counsel for the petitioner. Today also, the petitioner has gone unrepresented. Therefore, it can safely be presumed that the petitioner or his counsel is no more interested in pursuing the present petition. In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
