Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, the case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing.
The instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents No. 4 to 6.
In compliance of the last order dated 02.07.2020, reply by way of affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Abohar, District Fazilka, has been filed on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3 wherein it is stated that the statement of petitioner No.1 as well as private respondent No. 4, i.e. father of petitioner No.1, has been recorded to the effect that the petitioners are now living happily together and they do not apprehend any threat to their life and liberty. Respondent No.4 too has stated that he has no RUPINDER KAUR 2020.07.06 15:02 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CRWP-4322-2020 [ 2 ] objection to the marriage of her daughter with petitioner No.2. Copies of the statement of petitioner No.1-Mamta and private respondent No.4 are attached with the written statement as Annexure R-1/T and R-2/T respectively. The same are taken on record.
In view of the above, nothing survives in the present petition and the same has been rendered infructuous.
