SUVIR SEHGAL, J. (Oral) The Court has been convened through video conferencing due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to official respondents No.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and their family members as respondent No.3, who is a police official, has been extending threats to them at the instance of respondent No.4. Counsel for the petitioners submits that before approaching this Court, numerous representations have been addressed to the official respondents but the same have not yielded any result. He submits that the petitioners would be satisfied in case a direction is issued to the concerned official respondent to look into the representation dated 02.02.2021 (Annexure P-10).

CRWP No.4997 of 2021 {2} Without adverting to the merits of the petitioners' allegations at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana-respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 02.02.2021 (Annexure P-10) submitted by petitioner No.3 and thereafter, to take appropriate steps as warranted, in accordance with law.
