[1] Prayer in thepetition is for initiation of proceedings against the respondents for intentional and willful defiance of order, Annexure P/1, dated 18.02.2022 in CWP No.36523 of 2019 in case titled as Sukhvir Singh vs. State of Punjab and Ors.

[2] A perusal of order (Annexure P/1) reveals that CWP No.36523 of 2019was disposed of by directing the respondent/authorities to consider legal notice dated 14.10.2019 in accordance with law by passing a speaking order preferably within one month from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

[3] At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner states that pursuant to order (Annexure P/1), respondent No.1 has passed order dated 07.07.2022 accepting the claim of the petitioner. However, payment as per entitlement determined therein has not been released so far, therefore, he does not press the instant petition but prays for directions to respondent No.1 to release payment to the petitioner as per entitlement within a stipulated period of time.

: [4] Learned Addl. A.G. on instructions from respondent No.1 states that payment as per entitlement determined vide order dated 07.07.2022 would be released within four weeks from today. [5] In view of the position noted above as well as the statement of learned counsel for the parties, the instant petition is disposed of as not calling for any action against respondent No.1 under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, while directing respondent No.1 to ensure release of payment as per entitlement determined vide order dated 07.07.2022 within four weeks from today failing which the same would be payable along with interest @6% per annum with effect from the date of entitlement till date of payment.
