Case is being taken up for hearing through Video Conferencing due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Prayer in the petition under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 is for initiating action against the respondents for intentional and willful non-compliance of order dated 25.01.2021 in CWP No.21999 of 2020.

Learned counsel contends that vide order dated 25.01.2021, CWP No.21999 of 2020 was disposed of with a direction to the Principal Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab to decide the case of the petitioner within eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order but needful was not done therefore the instant petition.

Learned counsel further contends that after the filing of the instant petition, the respondents have rejected the claim of the petitioner vide order dated 27.05.2021, therefore, the petition may be disposed of as not pressed while granting liberty to the petitioner to challenge order dated 27.05.2021 by way of appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.

In view of the respondents having passed order dated 27.05.2021 deciding the claim of the petitioner there is sufficient compliance with order dated 25.01.2021 in CWP No.21999 of 2020, therefore, the contempt petition does not call for any order. 6.
