(ORAL) This is a petition that has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for setting aside the complaint filed under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 bearing No. DV/49/2013-14 dated 12.08.2013 titled as 'Gurmeet Kaur vs. Harsimranjit Singh and others'. Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the very allegations as set out in the complaint under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 are false and fabricated. It is also contended that the matter had been investigated on several occasions by the Police, wherein it was found that there is no demand of dowry and, therefore, the complaint itself should be quashed. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and in view of the fact that the respondent herein apart from alleging demand of dowry has Satyawan 2018.08.14 15:53 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh
