Lashkar Singh v. Manjit Kaur Etc.
2024:PHHC:026592
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH
RSA No.678 of 1998 (O&M) Date of Decision : 26.02.2024 Lashkar Singh ....Appellants
VERSUS
Manjit Kaur and Another ....Respondents CORAM : HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ALKA SARIN Present :
None.
ALKA SARIN, J. (Oral) 1.
On first call a request was made for an adjournment on the ground that the senior counsel, who was to argue the matter, was busy before some other Court. However, the matter was passed-over as the present appeal pertains to the year 1998 and merely because the counsel was busy before another Court cannot be a ground to adjourn the matter. On the second call, none has come present on behalf of the appellants. 2.
In view of the above, this Court is left with no other option but to dismiss the present appeal for non-prosecution. 3.
Dismissed for non-prosecution. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
