***** SUDHIR MITTAL, J. (ORAL) The petitioner seeks regular bail in FIR No.93, dated 30.11.2022, registered at Police Station Maloud, Police District Khanna, District Ludhiana, under Sections 379-B, 120-B IPC and Section 379-B (2) IPC added lateron.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been made an accused in this case only on the basis of suspicion. He has been in custody for over four months. The trial is not likely to be concluded at an early date as charges have not yet been framed. The petitioner has clean antecedents and thus, he may be granted regular bail. 3.

Custody certificate dated 20.04.2023 checked by Sh.Kanwar Surteg Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent, Central Jail, Ludhiana has been filed in Court. The same is taken on record. A perusal thereof shows that the petitioner has undergone actual custody of 04 months and 18 days and there is no other case pending/decided against him. 4.

Learned State counsel concedes that charges have not yet been framed.

A perusal of the FIR substantiates the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner that he has been made an accused only on the basis of suspicion. The trial is not likely to be concluded at an early date and keeping in view the period of custody undergone, I deem it appropriate to grant him regular bail.

Thus, the petition is allowed. He is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate concerned.
