The petitioner through instant petition under Section 407 read with Section 482 of Cr.P.C. is seeking transfer of trial arising out of FIR No.108 dated 14.06.2017 registered at Police Station Garhshankar, District Hoshiarpur, under Sections 498-A, 406, 323, 34 of IPC from the Court of SDJM, Garhshankar, District Hoshiarpur to the Court of competent jurisdiction at SBS Nagar.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, submits that he does not press his prayer qua transfer of trial from Garhshankar, District Hoshiarpur to SBS Nagar, however, prays that life and liberty of the petitioner may be protected from the hands of private respondents as and when she appears before the Trial Court for her examination. 3.
