SUVIR SEHGAL, J. (Oral) The Court has been convened through video conferencing due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.48 dated 14.03.2019 registered under Sections 420, 406 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Civil Lines, District Bathinda. On 03.05.2019, this Court passed the following order:- "Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is only a daftari in the Oriental Bank of Commerce and there is no allegation that any money was entrusted to him. CRM-M-16701 of 2019 {2 Adjourned to 23.07.2019 for further consideration. In the meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to join investigation before the Investigating Officer. In the event of his arrest, the Arresting Officer would admit him to interim bail, till the next date of hearing, on his furnishing adequate bail and surety bonds to his satisfaction. The petitioner is also directed to abide by all the conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973."

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Mukhtiar Singh submits that the petitioner has joined investigation and is no longer required for custodial interrogation. He has further instructions to submit that no other case is pending against the petitioner. In view of the above facts, but without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 03.05.2019 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
