**** ANUPINDER SINGH GREWAL, J (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had been granted the same benefit as has been accorded to the similarly situated persons. An order to this effect was passed by respondent No.2 on 05.04.2022 but despite respondent No.2 directing other officials to comply with the order within 30 days, the same has not been done. He further submits that he shall be filing a representation to respondent No.2 for implementation of this order and grant of monetary benefits to the petitioner and he would be satisfied if this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation in accordance with law. Issue notice to the respondents.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. T.P.S. Chawla, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 that in the event of the petitioner preferring a representation, the same shall be considered and decided in accordance with law within a period of two months from date of its receipt.
