R.P. Nagrath, J. (Oral) Prayer in the instant petition is for grant of anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C. in FIR No. 87 dated 19.06.2014 for offences under Sections 406 and 498-A of Indian Penal Code (IPC), registered at Police Station Sadar, District Rupnagar.
Report from the Mediation and Conciliation Centre has been received that the parties have entered into a settlement. According to the term of settlement a joint petition for divorce by mutual consent is also to be filed.
In view of the above and without commenting on merits of the case, the interim order dated 29.09.2014 is made absolute. The petitioner shall also abide by the restrictions contained in Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
Allowed in the above terms.
Needless to say that the parties shall remain bound by the terms and conditions of settlement.
