In the present anticipatory bail petition, on 23.04.2025, following order was passed:- "1.

Endorsing the decision of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, and as a mark of respect and to mourn the sudden demise of Shri Bhupinder Singh Rathore, who was one of the oldest member of the Bar Council, the members of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association are observing "No Work Day" today, i.e. 23.04.2025. 2.

Petitioner - Paramjit Singh, aged 76 years, is a widow and by filing the present petition, she claims that despite registration of criminal case, i.e., FIR No.0129, dated 16.09.2024, u/s 115(2), 127(1), 351(2) of BNS, 2023, registered at P.S. Adampur, District Jalandhar, no investigation is being conducted by the police. 3.

List on 26.05.2025.

Let status report be filed by the State on or before the next date of hearing."

Today, learned State counsel has filed the status report dated 24.05.2025, in Court today, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. Office to tag the same at appropriate place. A copy thereof has been handed over to the counsel for the petitioner.

As per paragraph No.9 of the status report, cancellation report has been prepared and forwarded for its approval before the higher authorities, i.e., Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural) on JAWALA RAM 2025.05.27 19:22 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

Let a final decision be taken by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural), at the earliest, but not beyond three months, and therefore, if required same be filed before the Court of Ld. Area Magistrate/trial Court concerned, which shall further take a decision thereon at the earliest possible time.

With the aforementioned direction, present petition is disposed of.

It is, however, observed that, in case any necessity arises, it shall be open for the petitioner to take recourse to the alternative remedy, as available to her under the law.
