Through the present petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C., the petitioners seek grant of regular bail in FIR No. 97 dated 10.11.2015, registered under Sections 15/61/85 of the NDPS Act, at Police Station Noormahal, District Jalandhar.
At the time of hearing of the matter, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he would be satisfied if a direction is given to the prosecution to conclude its evidence within four months from the next date fixed before the trial court.
Learned State counsel, on instructions from SI Jagdish Kumar, states that as per the prayer made by the counsel for the petitioners, the State would conclude its entire prosecution evidence within four months from the Monika 2017.04.21 14:02 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
Crl. Misc. No. M-3398 of 2017 next date fixed before the trial court, subject to the co-operation by the petitioners.
The above statement made by learned State counsel satisfies counsel for the petitioners and the present petition is accordingly disposed of.
It is clarified that in case the prosecution does not conclude its evidence within the above time frame, the petitioners shall be at liberty to revive their prayer for regular bail.
