Prayer in the petition is for initiation of proceedings under Sections 10 & 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, against the respondent for willful disobedience of the directions issued in CRM-M-6499-2026, vide order dated 05.02.2026 (Annexure P-1). 2.
As per the order dated 05.02.2026, this Court disposed of the petition by directing respondent No.2 (respondent herein) to look into the complaint/representation (Annexure P-2 in the criminal petition) in a time-bound manner.

Learned State counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent submits a copy of the communication issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana (Rural), to the Assistant Registrar (Criminal) of this Court, whereby it is informed that the aforesaid complaint/representation has already been decided. A copy of the communication dated 12.03.2026 is taken on record. Another copy thereof is handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioner. In view of the above facts and circumstances, no further action is required to be taken in the matter, as such, present petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous. However, liberty is reserved in favour of the petitioner to avail appropriate alternate remedy, as per law.
