(ORAL) This is a petition that has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. with a prayer that directions may be issued to respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos. 4 to 6. Notice was issued to respondent Nos. 2 & 3 only. However, despite service, no reply has been filed.

Counsel for the respondent in CRM-M-31794-2016 titled as Ramesh alias Harmesh Singh vs. State of Punjab and others had made a statement that the challan in the FIR in question has been presented and the trial Court was seized of the matter.

In view of the fact that the petitioners herein have already been allowed anticipatory bail before the trial Court and proceedings are underway, no further orders are called for.
