(ORAL) Due to a call given by the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, the Executive Committee of the Bar Association has unanimously decided not to work till 29.09.2023 in solidarity with the District Bar Association, Sri Muktsar Sahib on account of one of the Bar member who is alleged to have been falsely implicated by the police officials at Sri Muktsar Sahib.

Petition herein is under Section 438 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short 'Cr. P.C.') for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.26 dated 10.02.2023, registered under Sections 21 (b), 25, 27(A), 29 of NDPS Act, at Police Station, Dinanagar, District Gurdaspur.

ASI Kulwinder Singh states that pursuant to earlier order dated 04.05.2023 passed by this Court, petitioner has joined investigation and in view of cooperation rendered by him, no custodial interrogation of petitioner is required. 4.

In view of the above, since custodial interrogation of petitioner is no more required, and he has already joined investigation and cooperated with the investigating officer, present petition is allowed. Order dated 04.05.2023 granting interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to petitioner's complying with provisions under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
