CORAM:

Present:

Mr.V.K.Sandhir, Advocate for the petitioner.

Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.09 dated 11.07.2018 under Sections 307, 326, 323, 324 and 34 IPC, registered at Police Station Verka, Police Commissionerate, Amrtisar.

Notice of motion was issued. Learned State counsel appeared and contested the petition.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. From the record, I find that present petitioner is named in the FIR. He caused injuries to two persons with gatra. The injury given by the petitioner to Jagjit Singh was declared dangerous to life. CRM No.M-34972 of 2018 -2Keeping in view the serious allegations against the petitioner that he has caused injury dangerous to life to Jagjit Singh with gatra and in view of the nature and gravity of the offence, without discussing the facts in minute detail and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, I find that petitioner is required for custodial interrogation and no ground is made for granting anticipatory bail to him.

Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
