***** KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner for seeking his premature release as per policy dated 8.8.2011. The counsel for the petitioner contends that the case of premature release of the petitioner was forwarded in the month of January 2022 to District Magistrate and SSP Mansa for recommendation and report of concerned SSP but even now the same is pending before District Magistrate, Mansa.

The counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be satisfied if direction is given to respondents No.1 to 3 to expedite the case of GAURAV SOROT 2022.05.10 17:18 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRWP-4374-2022 premature release of petitioner which at present is pending before District Magistrate, Mansa since 22.4.2022.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Ms. Samina Dhir, DAG, accepts notice on behalf of State of Punjab. State counsel submits that the concerned authority will look into the matter and take decision in accordance with law.

In the light of the above, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No.1 to 3 to consider and decide the case of premature release of the petitioner as per policy dated 8.8.2011, in accordance with law within a period of 1 month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
