Learned counsel for the petitioners without pressing any other plea taken in the representation (annexure P-1) submits that petitioners are aggrieved due to their repeated calling to the police station by respondents No. 3 and 4, as husband of respondent No. 5 was partner with petitioners at one point of time.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala to look into the grievances of the petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law. It is, however, made clear that nothing contained in this order shall be read as giving any type of protection to the petitioners in any criminal, civil or other proceedings pending or instituted against them and also to prevent police against the petitioners in any criminal case.
