In the present protection petition, after hearing the petitioners, on 18.04.2023 following order was passed:- "Present:

Mr. S. K. Bishnoi, Advocate for Mr. Ashwani Vaishnav, Advocate for the petitioners.

Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of directions to respondents No. 2 and 3 to provide protection of lives and liberty of the petitioners, who have married against the wishes of private respondents i.e. 4 to 6.

Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioner No.1- Sanju, aged about 19 years and petitioner No.2 - Rohatash, aged about 33 years, have got married on 14.04.2023 against the wishes of their family members, arrayed as respondents No. 4 to 6. It is first marriage of both the petitioners.

It has been further submitted that private respondents are threatening to interfere in the matrimonial life of petitioners. Hence, petitioners are seeking protection in that regard and have approached this Court by way of filing the instant petition. They have also submitted a representation dated 14.04.2023 (Annexure P-4), to respondent No.2 - Superintendent of Police, Sirsa, Haryana, wherein, they have RIYA 2023.04.20 13:00 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

At the very outset, learned State counsel informs this Court that petitioner No. 1-Sanju and her family members i.e. respondents No. 4 to 6 are the residents of District Churu (Rajasthan), so he needs some time to verify the credentials of the petitioners.

Today, Mr. Vikas Bhardwaj, AAG, Haryana, on instructions from SI Subhash Chand, infroms the Court that on an enquiry conducted by the police officials by visiting the house of petitioner No. 1-Sanju, it is found that one Missing Person Report dated 0006/2023 has been got lodged by the father of petitioner No. 1-Sanju at Police Station Sahawa, District Churu. However, as of now, there is no material to say that petitioner No. 1-Sanju, has been forcibly taken away by anybody.

In the backdrop of said circumstances and submissions addressed before this Court by both the sides, present petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2-Superintendent of Police, Sirsa, Haryana to examine the representation dated 14.04.2023 (Annexure P4) and in case any substance of truth is found in the contentions mentioned therein, an appropriate action for security of the petitioners would be taken, as per law.
