This petition has been preferred under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing of FIR No. 46, dated 29.08.2014, under Sections 420, 170 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Daresi, District Ludhiana along with all consequential proceedings arising out of the same, on the basis of compromise. 2.

In compliance of order dated October 06, 2015, report of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Ludhiana, has been received, in which, it has been categorically observed that parties have arrived at compromise with their free fear or without any pressure from any quarter. In view of the above I am of the considered opinion that continuation of criminal proceedings between the parties would be an abuse of the process of law and the present compromise is for their benefit and will bring peace and harmony between them. 4.

Consequently, instant petition stands allowed and FIR No. 46, dated 29.08.2014, under Sections 420, 170 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Daresi, District Ludhiana and all other subsequent proceedings arising therefrom are quashed qua the petitioners.
