MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (ORAL) Petitioner is seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 for registration of FIR under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and other relevant provisions of the IPC at concerned Police Station on the basis of complaint dated 12.07.2021 (Annexure P-1).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a complaint was given on 12.07.2021 (Annexure P-1) to the police authorities, however, it had failed to yield any response. It has been submitted that the official respondents were under a legal obligation to pass an appropriate order on his complaint. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.3Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, to look into the complaint dated 12.07.2021 (Annexure P-1) of the petitioner and take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

In the wake of the limited prayer of the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of and respondent No.3-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, is directed to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate steps, if any required, under the provisions of law. However, if respondent No.3 does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the complaint dated 12.07.2021 (Annexure P-1), then the petitioner shall be duly informed as per the parameters laid down by the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari Versus Government of Uttar Pradesh & Ors. 2013 (4) RCR (Criminal) 979.
